May 19: Bike to Work Day, coffee and donuts!

May is Bike Month and May 19 is Bike to Work Day! We know riding your bike to work, or other “commutes” like errands to the store or an appointment can be empowering. Getting one more car off the road and one more happy, smiling person on a bike is a big step forward in the change we want to see in Roanoke.

That’s why, whether it’s your first time riding your commute or you’ve been riding for years, we’re celebrating! And if you’ve always wanted to ride to work but haven’t yet, there’s no better time to try than Bike to Work Day.

PedalSafe and Ride Solutions have partnered to provide refreshments at three stations around Roanoke. Plan your ride, stop in, and say “Hi!” while you help yourself to coffee and donuts. Hope to see you out there!

Details:

Refreshments stations will be located in three places:

  • 5th St. and Shenandoah – in the Twisted Track parking lot
  • 3rd St. and Church – at the City of Roanoke Municipal Building
  • 13th St. and Hannan Cir. – at Black Dog Salvage
